IMAGINE A COLLEGE PREP SCHOOL DEDICATED TO STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DIFFERENCES.
The faculty know every student’s story before the new school year begins and every student takes a Cognition and Learning class that meets their needs. Classes are small and focused on explicit skills-base instruction. No one gets pulled out during regular class time for “special help.” No one has to miss out on art or foreign language classes to visit the resource center. Instead, the entire school is a learning center. Certified learning specialists work with every student, and they are in constant communication with their students’ teachers about assignments and test schedules. Academic standards are high, and they can be kept high because tailored learning support is built in.
